OK, so I finally had the chance to check out the movie Good Deeds last night and decided to write a review. Even though my sweetie didn't really want to go see it, he did it just for me!! :-) Overall I thought it was a pretty good movie. The plot was rather predictable from the previews and seemed similar, yet different, than all of Tyler Perry's other movies. An angry black woman mad at the world because of her current situation and Tyler comes in and saves the day and they all live happily ever after!! The end!!!
What made Good Deeds different was that some parts made me think a little harder than previous movies about what would happen next. The ending somewhat shocked me initially but after I thought about the sequence of events all I could say was "duh!!". Gabrielle Union dropped the ball on the relationship by allowing things to go on as they did for so long. Sometimes you have to take life by the horns and steer it back in the right direction. Relationships are no different.
The moral of the movie was one that all couples should think about. So many couples fall into a routine and lose the spontaneity that once attracted them to each other. Boring, predictable relationships are bound to fail...especially when someone else comes along that peaks your partner's interest. Take time and remind your significant other why you love them and what attracted you to each other. Step out of your comfort zone and do something together you ordinarily wouldn't. Laugh together! Enjoy each other's company!!
You know you love 'em, but do they know that??
For you to be so young, your analogy of a relationship is dead-on...I believe you may have an 'old soul', one that I think is essential in this day & time, something that not many of the younger generation has..
