Lately I find myself questioning why I went to college. I currently work part time in retail. I graduated Cum Laude with my Bachelors and I'm currently working on my Master's and am maintaining a 4.0. I understand the economy is not the best right now, but what about us students?? I see quite a few advertisements for jobs for Veterans and I understand why. Especially after the sacrifices they make for the safety of our country. But as a student, I don't want to feel like I don't have a chance if I haven't served in the military. There has to be some happy median between helping vets and helping students get a job. Not just any job, but a job in our field that we qualify for.
I feel like I'm working twice as hard just to get half of what everyone else will get. I have a few possible jobs lined up but I'm just waiting on that call saying "you're hiried!!" At this point all I can do is keep pushing and give it to God. I know if I continue to do my part He will continue to do his. What God has for me is for me no matter what!
I'm going to continue praying for the success of sudents, and veterans too, and I hope you all do the same too. If you know someone that has hiring power please talk to them about giving students a chance at success. We all had someone to help us so now it is up to us to help someone else.
Sorry this was rather random. It has been on my mind a lot lately and I felt the need to share it with the world.
XOXO,
Jay
